I have always been a keen sports person and in my youth competed at County level in both Fencing and Hockey, sports which I still enjoy today.
I became interested in horses and decided to my base my career in the equine area, first at Aberystwyth University and then progressing through the British Horse Society examinations to my current status as a BHSII. During this time I worked in a number of major training centres in the UK and latterly was one of the Senior Riding Instructors at Wellington Riding in Hampshire. I also spent time on the Sunshine Tour in Spain working with the leading Irish international showjumper and former world number 2, Jessica Kurten.
The physiology of the horse was of great interest and this led me to study the anatomy of both horse and rider which led to me becoming qualified in both human and equine Bowen Therapy.
To further my knowledge of how the body works and what we can do to improve our fitness I decided to qualify as a Personal Trainer and completed these studies in 2010.
This led me to decide the final path in my career to date was to qualify in 2011 in Sports and Remedial massage. As a consequence of this in the 2010 – 2011 season I became the team ‘therapist’ for Shipston on Stour RFC 1st XV who now benefit from both my Bowen and Sports Massage skills.
I now have my own business based in Halford near Shipston on Stour. I continue to work hard to build my reputation and establish a clientele of both humans and horses. I have treated a variety of injuries, discomfort and problems in human patients of all ages, walks of life, and occupations, I deal with children, senior citizens, professional sports men and women to name but a few. Horses I work with range from family ponies, competition horses at all levels to high value race horses. All receive the same dedicated care and attention.
